12V Water Pump with 5.5bar Pressure Switch (4.0L/min, 12V DC)

This 12V water pump is self-priming, draws 2.6 amps and includes a built-in pressure switch set on 5.5bar. In South Africa this pump is used for small off-grid applications (water storage, caravan or camper van water supply, boating, pressure booster pump). It can also be used for small portable solutions such as car wash sprayers and any DIY project that requires water transfer. Some applications such as portable gas geysers, caravan/camper van plumbing or drip irrigation systems might require a maximum pressure that is lower than 5.5bar, in which case we recommend you look at this low pressure 12V water pump.

Instructions

• When using 10mm pipe, it is recommended to secure the inlet and outlet connections with small clamps or cable ties
• Before starting the pump, the outlet line must be open to prevent airlock
• The pressure switch will automatically shut off the pump when the outlet line is closed and the pressure has risen to 5.5bar
• The pump pressure switch will restart the pump when the outlet pressure drops
• The pump is designed to work with a 12V battery and/or a solar panel connected through a 12V solar charge controller
