The primary purpose of this 12-volt automatic bilge pump is to keep the bilge area of the boat (the lowest part of the hull) dry and prevent it from taking on excess water from rain or leaks, which can affect the boat's buoyancy, stability, and overall safety. It provides peace of mind to boaters by automatically managing bilge water without the need for constant manual intervention. Bilge pumps are essentially submersible pumps that can handle water that is not entirely clean. Note that a bilge pump cannot pump oil though. This bilge pump can also be used in camper vans, caravans and in light industrial applications.
